Anni Albers: On Weaving

Thoughtful weavers, as well as anyone else who thinks seriously about craft, will treasure this book for what it is: a collection of assorted essays on a variety of topics related to textile production, as written by one of the greatest textile artists of the 20th century. In her introduction to "On Weaving," Anni Albers clearly states that she did not intend this book to be a "how-to" introduction to weaving or textile design. Many such books exist already, of varying levels of usefulness. But there's only one "On Weaving," and we should all be grateful that our stars aligned long enough for Anni Albers to put her thoughts onto paper.
